This question has been asked multiple times and I felt this would be a good place to share. There has been a gamut of emotions felt by me and my family as things began to shift from our normal to something new. It began for us when my daughter caught a cold at the beginning of March. She was only sick for a few days but we decided to take the precautionary time in isolation for the recommended two-week timeframe. Businesses closing their doors and a staying-in-place order was issued. The ending of meeting such lovely people at craft shows that Essential Candy participated in most weekends across south Florida. We all at different times went through moments of anger when we were hearing flights being canceled and therefore our family trip overseas to celebrate our anniversary would be as well.
There were moments of sadness too when realizing that our friends wouldn’t be able to come over for dinner and game night. As well as creating unique birthday celebrations using Zoom meetings and going the extra mile to ensure that our loved one is cherished on her birthday while not being able to be hugged and lavishly spoiled by friends.
Putting this all aside for a moment, we could focus on the endings and the cancelations or we could choose to look to the bright side and enjoy something different for a period of time. With sports commitments, work trips, teens being with friends and other opportunities to be busy, the other things like cleaning out the closets, organizing the kitchen drawers and cupboards, rearranging the garage storage space now fits into the calendar for completion.
When we set goals and achieve them, we are enticed to want to do it again as it feels good. Much like training for your first 5K and finishing it. Our emotions feel uplifted and we are happy for the achievement.
I invite you to try something new like build a garden or tune-up your bicycle or complete a project that has been on your to-do list. Open up a bag of our New Day healthy hard candies for the energizing alertness of peppermint and the deliciously citrusy tangerine. Put on some music, get your favorite blend of pure essential oils into your diffuser and start feeling those happy vibes surge through you as you put a checkmark on your completed tasks column.
See my post on meditation (insert link here) if this is what you’d like to try as well. By the way, my favorite diffusing blend to get the feel-good emotions springing into action are 3 drops of Bergamot and 2 drops of Lavender.
Much love to you all,
Due to the potency and strength of using essential oils, it is always best to consult with a physician if you are under any type of medication. As well as diffusing oils with pets in the room, consult your veterinarian for guidance.
